Josephine V. Duarte

Josephine is survived by her sons Albert Medina (Virginia) of Tracy, CA; Peter Medina of Driggs, ID; John Medina (Brenda) of Westley, CA; Arthur Medina (Theresa) of Salem, OR; George Medina (Maria Fatima) of Turlock, CA; and her daughter Sheila Torres of Patterson, CA; her brothers Clemente Valenzuela of Hemet, CA, Guadalupe Valenzuela of Kingsman, AZ, Ernie Valenzuela of Perris, CA, Manuel Valenzuela of Sacramento, CA, Daniel Valenzuela of Rocklin, CA, her sister Maria Self of Feland, CA and Concha Pena of Riverside, CA. Josephine also leave behind 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Merced P. Duarte; her parents Juan and Delfina (Pena) Valenzuela; her brothers Juan Valenzuela; Eddie Valenzuela; Frank Valenzuela and Joe Valenzuela; her sisters Soledad Pena and Carmen Burrola.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, CA.

A visitation for Josephine will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380 followed by a rosary service at 6:00 PM

A funeral mass will occur Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I Street, Patterson, CA 95363 followed by a committal service at 12:00 PM at Patterson Cemetery District, 10800 CA-33, Patterson, CA 95363.

Serving as pallbearers are Julian Medina, Richard Torres, Gregory Torres, Joseph Torres, Henry Medina, Daniel Medina and Adam Hansen.
