Maria Rosario Enes

Maria do Rosario Enes, age 95, of Modesto, California passed away at home on Friday, April 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Villa do Topo, São Jorge, Açores to Maria S. Teixeira and João A. Goncalves.

Maria is survived by her daughters Fatima Silveira of Modesto; daughter Jacinta Calderon of Modesto; her step-son Erculano (Lilly) Torres of Modesto and her brother João Goncalves of Azores. Maria also leaves behind four grandchildren Luciano and Bobby Silvera; Stefany (Steve) Robles and Orlando Calderon Jr., six great grandchildren Ella (Miko) Sablan, Seth Silvera, Logan Calderon, Mackenzie, Issac and Isabelle Robles and one great-great grandson arriving very soon.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Sousa Enes; two daughters Gelbertina Madalina Enes and Gelbertina Maria Enes; her father João A. Goncalves; her mother Maria S. Teixeira and her brothers Jose Goncalves, Manuel Goncalves, Antonio Goncalves, sister Madalina Silva.

A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main, Turlock, CA 95380 with the rosary service at 7:00 PM.

A mass will occur Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 South Walnut Road, Turlock, CA 95380 followed by a committal service at Turlock Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Orlando Calderon, Luciano Silveira, Seth Silveira, Joe Goncalves, Duarte Goncalves, Antonio Goncalves, Esteban Guerrero and Michael Juette.
