Nellie was a woman of strong faith and a dedicated member of her church, where she provided bereavement services until her retirement in 2019. She had a deep and loving relationship with her sisters, Kaye and Donna, and spoke with them nearly every day. Known for her generosity, Nellie took great joy in feeding others and would often prepare meals for anyone who showed up at her door. Her kindness extended beyond her family as she worked with children in the afterschool program at the Salida School District, touching many young lives.
Her neighbors fondly referred to her as the "neighborhood watch lady" because of her ever-watchful eye and willingness to help anyone in need. Nellie was a giving, compassionate soul who made the world a better place with her presence. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nellie is survived by her daughter; Janet Esposito of Salida; her stepdaughter Robbie Price (Art) of Tennessee; her stepson Edward Nielsen III of Sacramento; her sisters Donna Satterlee of Morgan Hill and Kaye Graham (Bruce) of Oregon; her granddaughter Sarah Borba (Evan); her grandson Jeremy Taylor; her five step-grandchildren; her great-granddaughter Maryn Borba; her great-grandson Everett Borba; and her eight step-great-grandchildren.
