Nellie Louise Reich

Survivors are; Two daughters and their spouses, Patsy and Jim Cross of Twain Harte, CA and Jean and

Keith Douglas of Sonora, CA.Three grandchildren, David Cross of Hickman, CA, Rick Cross of Tracy, CA and Darla Sahr of Lyme, NH, two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren .

Long time resident, Louise Ryan Reich of Oro Grande, CA died in Riverbank, CA at age 96. She was born in Lincoln, Illinois. Her family moved to California when she was 5 yrs. old. She attended Colton High School where she met and married husband John Reich. They moved to Oro Grande, CA in 1943 where she lived for 66 years. She sewed, quilted, embroidered, and crocheted. She taught her daughters and the neighborhood girls to sew. She was a librarian for the county library in both the Oro Grande and Victorville branches. . She loved cats and always had several. She quit work to care for the love of her life, Johnny, until he passed away from leukemia in 1993. She attended Oro Grande Community Church with many of the “Old Timers” from the area.

In 2008 she moved to Northern California be closer to her family. She resided in a Residential

Care Home until her death.
