Orlanda Maria Carvalho

Orlanda Maria Carvalho, age 71, of Patterson, California, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Orlanda was born in São João de Deus, Angra Terceira, Açores, Portugal, and moved to the United States where she made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Orlanda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the heart of her family, always offering love, warmth, and care. Her passion for cooking brought the family together around the table, where she shared not only delicious meals but also cherished moments. Orlanda was known for her selflessness and generosity, often lending a hand to help with the Portuguese Festas, where her spirit and energy were always a welcome presence.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Henrique Carvalho of Patterson; her children Otilia Medrano (Philip) of Oakdale and Henry Carvalho of Patterson; and her treasured grandchildren Crystal Pimentel, Tony Pimentel Jr., Amanda Pimentel, and Jonathan Pimentel (Rebekah), who will forever honor her memory with love and gratitude.

Orlanda was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando and Otilia Vieira.

A woman of faith, Orlanda was a parishioner at Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine and was a member of the Stevinson Pentecost Association and Stevinson Santo Antão Association, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives.

The Recitation of the Rosary for Orlanda will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Miracles Church, 370 Linden Ave, Gustine, CA 95322. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Miracles Church, 370 Linden Ave, Gustine, CA 95322 . A committal service will follow on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Patterson Cemetery District Cemetery, Patterson, CA 95363.

Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Pimentel, Tony Pimentel Jr., Philip Medrano, George Martins Sr., George Martins Jr., and Albano Azevedo.

Orlanda’s love, strength, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide her family with the love and faith she so beautifully embodied throughout her life.

A Senhora Carvalho deixa de luto o seu esposo, com quem foi casada por 51 anos, Henrique Carvalho, de Patterson; os seus filhos, Otilia Medrano (Philip), de Oakdale, e Henry Carvalho, de Patterson.Deixa também os seus netos Crystal Pimentel, Tony Pimentel Jr., Amanda Pimentel e Jonathan Pimentel (Rebekah).

Foi precedida na morte pela seus pais, Orlando e Otilia Vieira.

Era paroquiana da Igreja Nossa Senhora dos Milagres em Gustine, Califórnia, membro da Associação de Pentecostes de Stevinson e da Associação Santo Antão de Stevinson.

A Recitação do Terço ocorrerá na quarta-feira, 19 de março de 2025, às 6 horas da noite, na Igreja Nossa Senhora dos Milagres, localizada na 370 Linden Ave, Gustine, CA 95322.

A missa de corpo presente será na quinta-feira, 20 de março de 2025, às 10 horas da manha, , na Igreja Nossa Senhora dos Milagres, localizada na 370 Linden Ave, Gustine, CA 95322, seguindo-se o sepultamento no Cemitério do Distrito de Patterson, Del Puerto e St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patterson, CA 95363.
