Ashley M. Kornegay

Ashley was preceded in death by grandparents Doris and William Sutton, and grandfather Billy D. Kornegay.

She is survived by her Mother Dana Wilson (Chris), Father Andy Kornegay (Rita), Sister Georgia Wilson (Devan), Brother Billy Kornegay (Cody), Niece Laken Kornegay, Grandmother Eloise Kornegay, Fur Babies Teeter and Apollo; and a host of other extended family and friends.

Ashley was a daughter, a sister, and a friend whose presence brought comfort and connection. Her love for family was steady and sincere, and her devotion to her furbabies was a tender reflection of the care she carried so naturally. With a generous spirit and an open heart, she had an ease about her that made others feel welcome—someone who never met a stranger and left kindness in her wake. She also carried a quiet joy for life’s simple pleasures and shared moments, whether traveling, enjoying concerts, or spending time fishing. Ashley’s warmth, inner beauty, and genuine goodness will be deeply missed and faithfully remembered.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Yellow Creek Baptist Church, Christian Life Center, 15515 Yellow Creek Rd, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35406, on April 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
