

Bennie Kate Hallman Bobo, age 82, of Northport, died July 24, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Alan Roggli and Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Garden with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Hallman Sr. and Pinnina Mae Sanford Hallman; sisters, Betty Smith, Bernice Booth, Beatrice Waldrop, Bertha Franklin, and Billie Faye Simpson.Survivors include her husband, Walter Vernon Bob Jr.; daughters, Deborah Roberts (Alan) and Denise Cobbs (Terry); sons, Daryll Bobo (Elaine), Dalton Bobo (Magaria), Dewayne Bobo, and Pat Bailey (Rhenea); sister, Bertie Lou Gann; brother, John W. Hallman Jr.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Bennie Kate was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her lifetime career and great joy was working with children as a dental hygienist. She had many loves as a seamstress, quilter, gardener, and loved cooking for family and friends. She was a very kind, caring Christian servant of the Lord, who was dearly loved by her family, (Proverbs 31:28), and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a true blessing to all, and we rejoice knowing that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior.Pallbearers will be Wesley Cobbs, Josh Cobbs, Shawn Boothe, Todd Hudson, Scott Bond, Bryan Anders, Drew Strickland, and Matt Bailey.Honorary pallbearers are Kay Stephens, Linda Comer, Hospice of West Alabama, Carroll's Creek Baptist Church family, and friends and neighbors of the Flatwoods community.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer Awareness Research or Center of the charity of one's choice.
