DUNCANVILLE | Billie Fay Farris, age 86, of Duncanville, died January 30, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella; father, Chester; and brother, Johnie.Survivors include his daughter, Helen Norwood (Bud); sons, Larry, William (Sheila), Ricky (Melissa), and Ronald (Marie); sisters, Ruble Prestridge, Marlene Brown, Mary Simmons, Peggy Burton; brothers, Jimmy, George, James, Kenneth and Vaugh; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Billie was born on June 25, 1929. He served in the Army and was a Golden Glove boxer. He was a gifted guitar player, enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He loved the Lord and supported the bus ministry of his church, Bible Baptist. Pallbearers will be Adam, Danny, David, Harley, and Wade Farris and Mark Latham.
