Billie Bow Hannah, 88, of Northport, passed away on January 14, 2021, at her residence. A Private Graveside Service will be held from Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, with David C. Cottingham officiating. Memory Chapel, a Dignity provider, is honored to be entrusted with final arrangements.
Ms. Hannah was born July 24, 1932, to the late Gilbert F. Hedrick and Annie Earle Hedrick. A native of Missouri, she spent most of her life in Alabama. She was the definition of commitment. Deep seeded faith was the cornerstone of her life and she loved her church family that shared her passion for worship. She worked the same job for 45 years. She cared deeply, loved unconditionally and gave sacrifically. Family was her greatest joy, she was married to her husband Grady for 50 years, he was the love of her life, along with their 3 children. Her greatest love was probably her seven grandchildren, she was able to spend time with them daily when they were young, and always watched for them, coming up the road, to see her. Later in life, her great grandchildren brought smiles until the end.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Hannah, brothers: James W. Hedrick, Edward Earl Hedrick, Charles Hedrick and granddaughter Mallory Hannah.
Ms. Hannah is survived by daughter Mary Ann (Dan) Williams; sons Grady Franklin (Cindy) Hannah and William Lee (Lisa) Hannah; brothers Bert (Audrey) Hedrick and Tommy (Jane) Hedrick; grandchildren: Angela (Phillip) Harris, Bo (Dianna) Hannah, Blake (Kristine) Williams, Luke (Autumn) Williams, Hannah (Damon) Gann, Will Hannah; and 12 great grandchildren.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Bo Hannah, Blake Williams, Luke Williams, Will Hannah, Damon Gann and Phillip Harris.
Recognized as Honorary Pallbearers are: Amedysis Hospice, Dr. Julia Booth, Melinda Horton and Elizabeth Hill.
