Billie Jean Killingsworth passed away at Glen Haven Nursing Home in the early morning hours of August 29, 2024. She was 91 years old. She was born in and spent most of her childhood in Dothan, AL. She and her husband Phil moved to Northport in the latter 1960s. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. She worked in the late 1980s and early 1990s at Parisians, and enjoyed modeling for the store when asked to do so.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Newton Lawson and Leila Bell Lawson of Dothan; her husbands, Navy pilot Lt. jg. Charles William Patterson (lost at sea) and Philip Lowell Killingsworth.
She is survived by three daughters, Laura Patterson Jolly (Alan), Donna Killingsworth McGilvray (David), and Rhonda Killingsworth Morris (Jeff); four grandchildren, Tara Jolly Shaffer, Trevor L. Jolly, Peyton Ashby Morris, and Aubriana Marie Morris, as well as two great-grandchildren, Ari and Sadie Shaffer.
The family will meet for a private burial at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Caring Days Adult Day Care Tuscaloosa.
