Billy Ray Jenkins

Services will be Wednesday March 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Billy Ray Jenkins was married to his 3rd grade sweetheart for 57 years, he built a life with 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, all because two people fell in love. He worked at Jim Walter Resources where he eventually retired from.

He leaves behind wife Glenda F. Jenkins of Vance, Alabama; Daughters Sondra Cunningham of Vance, Alabama and Billie Armstrong (David) of Vance, Alabama; Sisters Linda Sue Mosley and Sidney Earl Jenkins; grandchildren Samantha Harris (Jake), Mathew Patton (Rachel), Justin Crawford (Rachel), Kimberly Hall, Brittnay Traweek (Chace), Hunter Patton, Micah Patton, Bridget Crawford, Westley Patton, Daylan Crawford, Jaden Hall, Sadie Hall, Brittley Traweek, Hope Traweek, Tracy Traweek; and 14 greatgrandchildren.

He is predeceased by parents Nathan and Lora Jenkins; siblings Homer Jenkins, Velma Herrington, Fannie Hill, Robert Jenkins, Kenny Jenkins, Paul Jenkins; Grandchild Melissa Armstrong.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Patton, Justin Crawford, Jake Harris, Kevin Jenkins, Hunter Patton, Micah Patton, and Don Schmalz.

Honorary pallbearers are David Armstrong and Phillip Lane.
