

Christine C. Sullivan, age 98 of Moundville, Alabama passed away on September 17, 2025 at Moundville Health and Rehab. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Memory Hill Gardens with Dr. Herb Thomas officiating.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Willian Hillman "Dick" Sullivan; father, Rev. Perry Robertson Cunningham; mother, Theo Frances Smelley Cunningham; brothers, Perry Jr., Shamlin, Frank, Calvin, Vaughn Dee; sister, Iris Mae; grandparents, Bud Smalley, Mertie Shelby Cunningham, Lewis Cunningham, Zorabell Leonard.
Evelyn "Christine" Cunningham Sullivan was a lifetime resident of Tuscaloosa County. She was born December 17, 1926 to Rev. Perry and Theo Cunningham. She was a long-time member of Circlewood Baptist Church and Dr. Herb Thomas' Sunday School Class. She and her husband, William H. "Dick" Sullivan ran multiple successful businesses during their 53 years of marriage, including logging, trucking and landscaping businesses. She was also a license practical nurse where she worked at DCH as a recovery room nurse. Following her career at DCH, she entered into private duty nursing.
Christine had 1 son, Larry Sullivan (Connie); 2 grandchildren, Leanna and Matt; 4 great grandchildren, North, Ally, Dawson, Mattie; 2 great-great grandchildren, Rosemary and Adeline. In her middle years, her and her husband enjoyed square dancing and also did some traveling with her neighbors and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Matt Sullivan; great grandsons, North Patterson (Madison), Dawson Sullivan; grandson in law, Sean Feely (Leanna); great grandson in law, Tyler Johnson (Ally); future grandson in law, Max Grogan (Mattie).
Honorary pallbearers are Doug Hollyhand, Lynda Dykes, Denise and Ann Shoemaker, Chad Green-Service Decan at Circlewood Baptist Church, all staff, nurses and residence of Moundville Health and Rehab, all staff at Regency, Pine Valley and Heritage Assisted Living.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Moundville Health and Rehab Activities Fund or Circlewood Baptist Church Building Fund.
