TUSCALOOSA – Darlene Snyder, age 83, died February 5, 2017. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Memory Chapel with Rev. Jim Headley and Rev. Curtis Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Fred Smith, Truman Smith, and Adrian Smith; and one sister, Lorene Pugh. Survivors include her husband, Grover Snyder; daughters, Rita Richardson (Ken) and Lisa Hutchins (John); son, Randy Snyder (Krista); sisters, Velvie Barnes, Irene Spencer, Gracie Rushing, Linda Cunningham; brothers, Herman Smith, Doyle Smith; grandchildren, Todd Richardson, Keely Duke, Andrew Snyder and Taylor Hutchins; great-grandchildren, Ike Duke, Maggie Duke, Lucy Duke, Will Hutchinson and Cooper Snyder. Darlene was a loving wife to her husband, Grover, of 66 years. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She showed them all a pure love for her Lord.She leaves a legacy of love and laughter, from a lifetime of wonderful memories. She enjoyed cooking, serving others, and making others happy with her contagious laughter. Darlene brightened any room she entered. Pallbearers will be Harlod Barnes, Mike Cunningham, Faron Fields, Mike Lovejoy, Steve Kieth, Michael Duke and Brandon Hughes. Honorary pallbearers are membership at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Dr. Scott Fulgham, Gordon Livingston, a host of friends and extended family.
