My favorite teacher . Over the many years I thought of you. I have searched randomly for you and this morning early I thought of you . That’s the kind of thing an AMAZING teacher does, she randomly 30 years later still crosses your mind at 6am on a weekend. You did so much for me. Yes your knowledge for all things English were impeccable, but the way you still touch hearts decades down the line is the true meaning of love and care. You made me feel important, loved, noticed. Roll Tide Mrs. Luker! I cannot wait to hug you again! I love you ….

Am so sorry to read that Debbie has passed.  Gary Jr. and I spent a lot of fun years with Debbie and Bob  and had many good times at family dinners, holidays etc.  I have nothing but fond memories of those times and give my condolences to her family.  

Mrs. Luker was my English Teacher at Bibb County Jr. High 1980. I loved her and always thought she was a beautiful lady. May you RIP

Mrs. Luker was my 8th grade and 9th grade English teacher. She was so sweet and a wonderful teacher.  She will truly be missed!

I am devastated and heartbroken to hear this. She was my inspiration to be an English teacher. I did my student teaching with her and have been trying to reconnect for years with no luck. My heart goes out to the family. May God bring you comfort and peace during this time. She was a truly special lady and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Luker was such a wonderful teacher. She was so kind and had a beautiful soul. She was one of the best English teachers I had. I remember she made us memorize Annabelle Lee and she loved playing the Titanic movie soundtrack during quiet time. In 8th grade I had strep throat and missed this junior honor society thing. She called to check on me. That was so sweet of her. Thank you Mrs. Luker for being a great teacher. 

I loved Mrs Luker when I was in the 7th grade she was my English teacher as Mrs Hooks and in the 8th grade she was my drama teacher as Mrs Luker she was one of the best teacher I remember because of her I was able to get up in front of the Class and talk and also get on stage and a play in front of the whole school where we did the Christmas Carol . I loved her dearly a teacher that changed my life in a great way. 

I have such fond memories of Mrs.Luker. She was my 7th grade english teacher when she taught at Bibb County Junior High School in Centreville, Alabama.  She had this radiant smile that so was contagious. She absolutely loved her students like they were her own children and the students loved her back. The year I had her for 7th grade was the same year she retired. I remember that following year when I was in 8th grade we had a pep rally and she came back to visit and my 8th grade class cheered when we saw her walk into the gymnasium. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the entire family. ❤️
