Dillard Clifton Taylor

Dillard Clifton Taylor, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, died April 12, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Samantha with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Taylor Sr. and Mary Taylor; his brothers, Johnny Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Billy Taylor, and Carl Taylor; and his sisters, Mable Belcher, Flora Belle Taylor, and Addie Mae Craig.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Taylor of Tuscaloosa; his sister, Opal Campbell (Lesley) of Northport; his brother, Willie B. Taylor (Sue) of Tuscaloosa; and his nieces and nephews.

He never met a stranger and was always ready to help somebody. Dillard loved flowers and fishing and was always working in the yard. He had two dogs, Star Marie and Princess Ann, and he loved them a lot.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Scruggs, Dustin Scruggs, David Taylor, Rowland Hill, Micheal Hill, Sammy Sims, and Don Carroll.

Honorary pallbearers are Robert Gooden, Glen and Darlene Hutson, and Lonzo Hill.
