Dustin was a loving father and husband. He was a hard worker who seemed to want to follow in the footsteps of his PaPa, Wayne Banks. Dustin was proud of and loved his job at Averitt Express. He had such a kind, gentle loving spirit about him that made you love him, and a sense of humor that made you feel at ease. He liked to make people laugh, loved life, and always respected his elders.
Dustin was married to the love of his life “Alana Thomas Banks” and 10 months ago celebrated the birth of their beautiful Baby boy, “Karter Braxton Banks,” who was the apple of his eye. He adored him and when he wasn't with him he was talking about him and all the things he was learning to do. The latest accomplishment was that Karter just started taking steps without holding on. Before Karter was born Dustin and Alana loved to spend weekends fishing and just being together. He adored her and loved her with all of his heart.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Allen and Mary Banks, brother Timothy Banks, nephew Charles Banks, grandmothers Margaret Banks Caine, and Wynette Smith Clements, numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Wayne Banks and J.R Smith.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Alexander, Ben Alexander, Brent Smith, Russ Smith, Johnny Osborne, and Scott Smith.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial trust has been set up at any Bank of Tuscaloosa location for the care of Karter Banks.
