Freida Arlene Taylor

She was predeceased by her parents, Freidman and Allene Taylor. She is survived by her first cousin, Charlotte Hocutt, and second cousins, Dale (Kristy) Watson.

Freida was a proud graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and later earned a degree from the University of Alabama. She dedicated many years of faithful service to the community before retiring from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Department.

Freida had a deep love for traveling, good food, and animals, passions that brought her great joy throughout her life. She will be remembered for her dedication, spunk, and strength she showed in all she did.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens, located at 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, on December 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm.

Pallbearers will include the Deputies of the Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Department. Honorary pallbearers will be coworkers of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Department, as well as friends and neighbors of Cedar Knoll.
