Gene Leonard Crowder III

A graveside service for Gene will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. The presiding pastor will be Joseph Fowler.

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Gene Crowder, Jr.; grandparents, Gene, Sr. and Mabel Crowder and Robert and Bertha Bush.

He is survived by his mother, Jennie Crowder; sisters, Melesa Bell White (Travis) and Teresa Smalley; niece, Jennakate Bell; nephews, Chris Smalley, Garrett Bell, and Colby Smalley. He was a beloved member of a large, close-knit family, surrounded by the love and support of those who cherished him most. He was blessed with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who played a significant role in his life nurturing his kind heart.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on through the many hearts of those who knew him. Gene loved Alabama football, listening and dancing to music, watching western movies, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Happy Days. For all of us that love and knew him knew that McDonald's cheeseburgers and chocolate milkshakes were the top of the list of things he loved.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Bush, Kelly Bush, Stan Bush, Jeff Free, Steve Averette, Jr. , Johnathan Mills, and Dejaun Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ortero, and the staff of Alabama Neurology, Dejaun Richardson and the staff of Genesis group home, Tammy High, Rodney High and the staff of Aarons group home, Dr. Richard Giovane and the staff of Northport ICU. As well as Druid City Vital Care.
