James B. "Bart" Brown

James B. “Bart” Brown, age 56, passed away April 23, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Sammy Watson officiating. Burial will follow in memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Bart was preceded in death by his father, James W. Brown; brother, David Patrick Brown; aunt, Diane Batton; uncle, Benjamin Brown; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Wells, and Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Brown.

He is survived by his mother, Marilee Brown-Wells; second father, Cliff Terry; sister, Leslie Bankston; aunts, Peggy Walker (Bob) and Kathie Daniels; uncles, David Wells, Bill Wells, and Kelly Wells (Janice); special friends, Sam and Donna Callahan, Dot Martin, Sammy and Debbie Watson, and Dedra and Al Cabaniss; and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Wells, Bill Wells, Kelly Wells, Sam Callahan, and Nick Terry.

Honorary pallbearers are the Tuscaloosa City Schools Nutrition Program, staff and nurses of Heritage Healthcare & Rehab, DCH Regional Medical Center Trauma Team and 7th Floor staff and nurses, Dr. Ross Vaughn, Dr. Phil Hemstreet, Dr. David Hinton, and Dr. Hiram Johnson.
