James Randall Driggers

COTTONDALE – James Randall (Randy) Driggers, age 61, of Cottondale, Ala., formerly of Selma, Ala., died August 27, 2017, at home surrounded by family. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Driggers; sister, Jan Wall; grandparents, Ralston Mal and Emma Swann Driggers and Archie Buford and Inez Bowers Gray.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Driggers of Cottondale, Ala.; daughter, Amanda Driggers of Delaware; son, Marc Driggers of Cottondale; brothers, Ronnie Driggers (Jo Alice) of Trussville, Mike Driggers (Patti) of Valley Grande, and Ray Driggers (Joan) of Wetumpka; sister, Susan Swann Climer of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Matthew Driggers, Nicholas Driggers, Hayleigh Greene and Ashleigh Greene.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Driggers, Mike Driggers, Ray Driggers, Jim Lee, Sean Heaton, Chris Driggers, Dennis Reach, Johnny Averett and Eli Howard.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Hospice of West Alabama, nurses on 5th Floor South at DCH Regional Medical Center and friends from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
