Jean Ousley

Doris Jean Ousley, age 93, from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, went to her Heavenly home on June 7, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial following in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The service will be officiated by brothers, David and Johnny Williamson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Floyd Williamson and Lucile Williamson Driver; husband, Robert E. Ousley; brothers, Freddie Jack and Teddie Joe Williamson, James Thomas Williamson; sister, Emily Williamson Selman.

Jean is survived by her sons, Perry (Tammy) and Derrick Ousley; daughter, Dee Dee Faiers (Alan); granddaughter, Katie Carter (Brian), great granddaughters, Hayes and Mae Mae Carter; siblings, Waulene Shipman, Johnny (Glinda) Williamson, David (Shirley) Williamson; her two beloved cats, Gracie and Oliver; lifelong friend, Betti Widener; special friend, Annie Earnest; her “angel”, Mackenzie Calhoun and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jean was a selfless woman who served others. She had a deep faith in Jesus and a true servant’s heart, and spent many years as a caregiver for her family and friends, including Mrs. Minnie Pennington, Ms. Anna Brown and her mother, Lucile Driver. Jean retired from Partlow State School after 25 years of service in the health care profession.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Sullivan, Adam Johnston, David Croft, Caleb Ray, Lance Ray and Rick Hannah.
