Jessica Ann Elam will always be remembered best for her sweet smile. Her time on this earth seemed too short to those of us who loved her, but she now rests in the arms of Jesus who always has and always will love her.
Jessica was born on April 17, 1970. She spent most of her life in the Tuscaloosa, AL area, but she also lived for several years in Chattanooga, TN. She graduated from Calvary Christian School in Chattanooga in 1989. Jessica had a servant’s heart, and could always be counted upon to help the sick. For several years, Jessica worked at the Culverhouse School of Accountancy at the University of Alabama. There she made cherished, life-long friends.
Jessica is survived by her father Wayne (Sandy) Elam; mother Sue (Mike) Chadwick; brother Jeremy (Beth) Elam; nieces Jaclyn, Julie, and Jenna Elam; nephews Brock, Brent, and Bryant Elam; former spouse, Jackie Dixon; and Uncles Ronnie Howard and Howard Elam and many cousins. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
A service for Jessica will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Skyland Blvd in Tuscaloosa, AL on Thursday, August 17, 2017. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.; the service will be at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jeremy Elam will officiate, and pall bearers will be Ronnie Howard, Eli Howard, Chad Howard, Britt Howard, Brock Elam, and Brent Elam.
