Joe Michael Poole

TUSCALOOSA – Joe Michael Poole, also known as “Mickey,” age 71, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 2 pm in Memory Hill Gardens with Rev. Jim Smith of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Ralph, Ala. officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Poole, on January 6, 2021.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Menees; mother, Morrell J. Poole of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brother, Jeff Poole (Sharon) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Patsy P. Walker (Glenn) and Robin Brown (Mack) of Gordo, Ala.; one grandchild, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Mr. Poole was born March 25, 1950 in Tuscaloosa County where he was a lifetime resident. He was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School, Class of 1969. He enjoyed family, food, and fishing prior to glaucoma-related blindness. Mr. Poole will be greatly missed and although our hearts are sad we will smile because he is at peace in a better home with our Lord.
