COTTONDALE – John L. Shirley, age 63, of Cottondale, Ala., died July 3, 2016. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Memory Chapel with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Jennings Shirley and parents, Victor and Amy Shirley. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Shirley; daughter, Victoria Shirley; son, Joshua Shirley (Gigi); sisters, Cathy Brom and Barbara Wheat; brothers, Robert Harold Shirley and Jimmy Shirley; and five grandchildren.
