MCCALLA – Johnnie Ruth Lewis, age 75, of McCalla, Ala., died at Princeton Baptist Medical Center on September 21, 2017. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lewis and mother, Sibyl Dunlap.
Survivors include: daughters, Terrie Fields and Belinda Bowling; son, David Fields; sisters, Phyllis Schmidt and Shirley Davidson; grandchildren, Nicole Patrick Eaton, Cayla Fair-Cook, William "Will" Fields, Kelsie Fair, Zachary Fields, Courtney Mae Fair, Emily Ann Fields and Mary Claire Fields.
Johnnie was born in New Mexico and later resided in Winfield, Alabama, Tuscaloosa and spent her final years in McCalla, Alabama. She was a homemaker that loved to read and spend time with family. She had eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
