Julia Nichols

Julia Nichols, age 97, of Duncanville, Ala., died February 14, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bart Latner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Nichols, Sr.; parents; one sister and one brother.

Survivors include daughter, Lenora Mitchell (Charles); son, Gaston Nichols, Jr., (Becky); grandchildren, Kerri Nichols, Linda Kay, Cindy Haynie and Jenny Farrar; great-grandchildren, Kris Jones (Jeremiah), Kaysi Snyder (Andrew), Jordan Minor (Trent), Deserae Odum (Spencer), Dalton Dover, Nick Bennati, Fischer Farrar and Stella Farrar; and great-great-grandchildren, Anna Grayce Jones, Will Hutchinson, Patton Jones, Aubree Odum, Tucker Minor, Hudson Odum and Cooper Snyder.

Julia Nichols was a member of Gilgal Baptist Church where she was a member of WMU, Gilgal Stitchers Quilting group, XYZ, she taught Sunday School, RA's and GA's. She loved life and family and most of all the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was loved by everyone. Her favorite hobbies were quilting and playing dominos.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Hubbard, Andrew Snyder, Trent Minor, Jeremiah Jones, Bennie Haynie, Spencer Odum, Nick Bennati, Dalton Dover and James Tillery.
