

Lonnie Ray Brown, age 58, of Duncanville, died April 30, 2010, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Duncanville Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verna and Lewis “Doc” Brown and nephews, Anthony Ray Brown and George “Junior” Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby P. Brown of Duncanville; daughter, Amanda Faye Brown (Joshua); son, Lonnie “Keith” Brown (Kayla), Steven Shirley (Jessaca), and Eddie Shirley (Kris); sisters, Lonita Lowery of Duncanville, Laura Lowery of Tuscaloosa, Helen Frazier of Tuscaloosa and Nell Phares of Duncanville; brothers, Gene Brown of West Virginia, George Brown, Sr., of Tuscaloosa, Robert “Bobby” Brown of Northport and Joe Brown of Coaling; grandchildren, Hunter Lee, Billy, Rebecca, Savannah, Caleb and William Hunter.
He loved his children more than anything. Keith and Amanda were the loves of their Daddy's heart. He also loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed his special pets.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Poole, Sr., Junior Poole, William Beadlescomb, Mark Griesbach, Kyle Simmons, Jeremy Marcum, T.J. Gardner and Chris Clark.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of Southland Resources, Black Warrior Minerals, friends and family of the Duncanville Community, Terry Shelley and family, Ralph and family and friends and family of Bell Charles, La.
