Marguerite Hardy, age 93, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 27, 2011, at Regency Retirement Center. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Cox and Rev. Larry Corder officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Hardy, Sr., and son, Thomas A. Hardy.
Survivors include her daughter, June Creel (Robert); daughter-in-law, Margy Hardy; son, Woodrow Hardy, Jr. (Bobby); nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hardy was a longtime resident of Tuscaloosa. She was a member of Alberta Baptist Church and active in Eastern Star. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be Robert Creel, Walt Creel, Clint Hardy, Chad Hardy, Randy Petty, and Shawn Petty.
Honorary pallbearers are residents of Regency Retirement Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Diabetes Association .
