

Marion Kim Jones, age 56, of Elrod, Ala., died March 13, 2016, at home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Memory Hill Gardens with Rev. Bobby Sanders officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Barrett; grandparents, Walter and Lucille Barrett and C. E. and Hattie Rainey; uncles, Eugene and Clyde Barrett; and aunt, Katherine Greenfield. Survivors include his parents, Ed and Detra Barrett of Elrod; grandparents, Jimmy and Ann Arnold of Gordo; brother, Jason Carr of Northport; and aunts and uncles, Eloise and Mike Randolph of Berry, Betty and Curtis Wilson of Northport, James and Donna Barrett of Elrod, Sheila Barrett of Northport, Ted Barrett of Moundville, Jimmy Quimby of Holman, Sabrina and Tony Driver of Gordo, Betty and Lee Hancock of Holman, Greg Rainey of Georgia and Joyce Hubbard of Georgia. Kim was such a fun loving person. His favorite past times he had was rocking in his rocking chair, watching TV land and at bedtime watching The Dick Van Dyke show. He also loved playing with his cards and looking at all his books. Also, when he went anywhere riding in the truck, he always had to listen to Randy Travis. Pallbearers will be Timothy Barrett, Taylor Barrett, Tory Barrett, Jason Carr, Jimmy Quimby and Matthew Golden. Honorary pallbearers are Courtney Martinez, Sheila Martinez, Ronnie and Julie Jones and family, Donna Bursley, Jimmy Dennison, Dr. John Brandon and staff, Dr. Steven Helm and staff Dr. Alexandre Todorov, Chance and Shanon Williams and friends of Elrod and Holman communities and all of the Sipsey Crossing Barn families.
