Mary Jacque Joy

Mary Jacque Joy age 66, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on February 14, 2026 at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Valley View Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Joy and Dr. Drew Dockery officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Memory Hill Gardens.

Mary Jacque was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Inez Sudduth; brother, Phillip Sudduth.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. William "Billy" F. Joy, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL; sons, William "Will" F. Joy III (Erin) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Thomas Jack "TJ" Joy (Malyssa) of Hendersonville, TN, Stephen Lee Joy (Jordan) of Tuscaloosa, AL; sister, Tomella Worley of Bay Minette, AL; brother, Clark Sudduth of Bay Minette, AL; grandchildren, Waylor Joy, Avery Joy, Madelyn Joy, Emma Joy, Sara Joy, Mila Joy, Jack Wilson Joy.

Mary Jacque Joy was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She went home to be with Jesus on February 14th which is appropriate since Jesus was the love of her life. She shared this love with her husband of 44 years, Dr. Billy Joy. Mary Jacque served Valley View Baptist Church, Hillcrest Baptist Church, Enterprise, AL, Woodlawn Baptist Church, Crestview, FL, Bethany Baptist Church, Andalusia, AL and Springhill Baptist Church, Franklin, AL as the pastor's wife for a combined 40 years. Mary Jacque's legacy can be wrapped up in three words: faith, family, and friends. She loved God above all and prayed for her family without ceasing. She ministered to friends through the power of prayer as a true prayer warrior.

Pallbearers will be Will Joy, TJ Joy, Stephen Joy, Chad Wyatt, Chris Davis, Todd Presley, Waylon Joy.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Chad Wyatt's Bible Study group.
