Mary "Mamie" Marlowe, age 100, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Tuscaloosa, died Oct. 23, 2010. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Marlowe; 12 brothers and sisters; and one granddaughter, Patti Smith Morton.
Survivors include her daughters, Bobbie Self, Inez Smith, and Stella White; her sister, Ellen Phillips; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Marlowe was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one's favorite charity.
