

He is preceded in death by his father Major W. Price, mother Bertha Lee Earnest Price, sister Thelma Jean Price, Hazel Price, and brother James “ Jim" Woodrow Price. His son’s Jon Barry Price. Mell Wynn Morrow Price II and grandson Chase Morrow Price.

Mell was born in Windham Springs, Piney Woods community of Tuscaloosa County Alabama to Parents, Major W. Ptivr and Bertha Lee Earnest. His Childhood was filled with Family Friends and Community. He was Saved through Jesus Christ being baptized in the waters of Turkey Creek. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing with his Grandfather George Morrow Earnest.
Mell attended school in Windham Springs and also at Gorgas High School before moving to Alberta City, and becoming a Senior Graduate at Tuscaloosa County High School in 1957. After Graduation Mell moved to Chicago, Illinois to work with the Railway Express Agency. After returning to Tuscaloosa he married Eula Faye Jones of Samantha, Alabama and they started their Family. Mell then started attending the University of Alabama briefly. He had dreams of becoming a Physician. made plans moving to Atlanta with his family and worked with General Motors Company . Wanting to return to Alberta City of Tuscaloosa, Mell worked at Gulf States Paper Company for 8 years. Mell went on to work with B.F. Goodrich Tire Company for 10 years while planning and starting his own business. He Prepared Tax Returns and Accounting every Spring in the community. Mell and wife Faye Price became the Owner of Price Nursery and Landscape on Bridge Avenue in Northport from 1977 to 1981. Mell went on to Ownership and Operation of a Express Oil Change Business then becoming a Licensed Auto Dealer in Tuscaloosa and Northport 1989-2014. Retiring from work and business at the age of 76 in Alberta City, Tuscaloosa Alabama.
Mell had many friends in the community of Windham Springs, Piney Woods, Tuscaloosa, Alberta City and Northport. Interests and hobbies with fond memories included Landscaping and Gardening, Summer trips to the beach in Sanibel Florida and Gulf Shores. Genealogy Research at the local Library among friends with his childhood memories and the history of family growing up in the Piney Woods and Windham Springs Community. His ancestry from Wales, Ireland Scotland and Germany was paramount to his family history. That RED hair and those Freckles.. Mell enjoyed watching Star Trek, Jacques Cousteau, Alabama Crimson Tide Football Games and NASCAR Racing. He enjoyed running down River Road and being outside. Mell also enjoyed Barbecue and Southern Food and Fare. There was nothing like those Lemon Filled Doughnuts at Krispy Kreme!
Blessed on this earth for 86 years.
Mell left a Wonderful Legacy of Nine Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
