Memma Lou Morrison

Memma Morrison, age 84, of McCalla, died March 13, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight, March 17, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Annie Hinesley; her husband, Ernest M. Morrison; her sisters, Ruth, Mary, Frank, and Betty; and brothers, Edward and John.Survivors include her daughter, Susan Patton (George) of McCalla, Ala.; son, Denis Morrison (Frances) of Arizona City, Ariz.; sister, Ruby Covington of Fairfield, Ala.; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Patton of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Amanda Michelle Morrison of Arizona City, Ariz., and Aaron Michael Morrison of Ft. Payne, Ala.; great-grandchildren, James Jacob Pugh and Lev U. Morrison. Mr. Morrison was born in Walker County, Ala. She married Ernest and raised two children. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and loving Nana, who helped raise one of her loving granddaughters. She was an amazing woman, who was loved, and will be greatly missed by all who met her. She retired from DCH Health Systems Business Office. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Nancy Tactuk, Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Dr. Salinas, and all the nurses and staff in DCH TSICU, who took such loving care of her in her final days, and Mrs. Elizabeth Green.
