

Nancy Baker, age 60, of Cottondale, died January 12, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Lester Baker of Cottondale; daughters, Mary Black of Cottondale, Theresa Smith of Duncanville, and Christine Baker of Tuscaloosa; son, Robert Bond of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Cathy Durbin of Tuscaloosa and Debbie Duchaine of Longview, Texas; and grandchildren, Leah Sweeney, Anthony Bond, Jeshua Sweeney, Justine Bond, Elizabeth Sweeney, and Gauge Smith. Nancy was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 9, 1954 to Joyce and Archibald. Nancy was a completely devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She gave all of herself to her family and friends and every animal she has ever come across even if she was tired or sick. She fed everyone's pets treats and has several pets herself; including all the wildlife that has moved into her yard for all the treats she feeds them. She will be greatly missed.Pallbearers will be Patrick Smith, Frank Pugliese, Brandon Black, Alvin Torres, Anthony Bond, and Jeshua Sweeney.
