TUSCALOOSA - Rachel Snow Cook, lovingly known to most as ""MawMaw"", age 76, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on December 12, 2016. After a year full of battling many sicknesses in the hospital and recovering in rehab centers, she requested to come home on Saturday where she enjoyed the last three days of her life in the place she loved most: the home she shared with her daughter and grandchildren. Monday afternoon as she was enjoying her new recliner at home with family, she peacefully passed away and gained her angel wings. Rachel will be remembered by friends and family as the sassy red-head who would always tell you exactly what she was thinking. That same fiery spirit came from a heart of gold and her personality sparkled and shined as much as the dresses and jewelry that she loved to get all ""dolled up"" in.MawMaw, as she was known by most, never met a stranger and had more grandchildren than could ever be counted because she loved every child that she ever met with the loved that only a grandmother can give. That ability to love so deep is what made her so special to so many and is what will be missed the most by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. While we cry because she is no longer in our presence, her legacy will live on in the countless lives that she touched.Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and Johnny Snow; her husband, Robert ""Bob"" H. Cook; two sisters, Ruby Christian and Jewel Hartley; and two brothers, Ray Snow and Bobby Snow. She leaves behind many people to carry on the love that she offered while she was here.
