

He was born October 04, 1943 in Rochester, New Hampshire, to the late Robert Lynn Gilmore, Sr. and Louise Pollard Faulkner Gilmore. He joined the US Navy at the age of 18 where he served his country proudly aboard the USS Independence Aircraft Carrier as a Boatswain Mate from 1961-1965. He was a member of Tuscaloosa Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He worked as a Millwright for BF Goodrich, where he was able to retire after 25 years of service. Always a hard worker Mr. Gilmore loved his family, and especially enjoyed Hunting and Fishing with his son and grandsons.
In addition to his Parents, Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by his wife Linda Allen Gilmore. He is survived by son Artie James Gilmore (Rhonda); daughter Andrea Lynn Inabinett (Ed); grandchildren: Jacob Beams (Kayla), Zachary Beams (Katie), Josh Gilmore, Beth Ann Gilmore and Sedena Gilmore; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Bonnie Gilmore Peterson.
Private Funeral services for the family are scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022, at 11:00AM from Tuscaloosa Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Graveside services with Military Honors will immediately follow from Memory Hill Gardens. Services will be officiated by Elder Craig Blair and are under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider.
