Wanda Robin Hutson Nichols, age 66, of Fayette, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at home. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Memory Hill Gardens with Robby Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Robin is preceded in death by he grandparents; father, Otis Percy Hutson; mother, Mildred Lee Hutson; sister, Brenda Hutson Jones; brother, Dwight Hutson; nephew, Lee Terry.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Nathan Nichols; daughter, Kayla Seale Redick (Chris) of BIloxi, MS; son, Kirk Barnett of Bentonville, Arkansas; sisters, Glenda Shirley of Northport, Alabama and Yvonne Tatum (Ray) of Brent, Alabama; grandchildren, Emma Barnett and Pierce Barnett.
Robin was born in Mt. Kisco, NY. She was the 5th and last child born to her parents. When she was around 2 years old, her family moved from NY to Holt, AL. Robin grew to love animals. She and her sister, Yvonne loved going out and riding their horse and pony. She graduated from Holt High School. After she married she and her husband moved to Kentucky. They had a son, Kirk while they were there. They moved to New Hampshire for a few years. They eventually moved back to Holt, AL. She later divorced her husband. She met someone and remarried. They has a little girl named Kayla. When Kayla was around 5 years old she divorced. She later met and married Jerome Nichols and she loved living in Fayette with property that she could enjoy exploring. She and Kayla loved riding 4 wheelers. Throughout her years she loved riding her horses and even showed them with her siblings at local horse shows. She enjoyed going to the Alabama Coast and getting on the boat with her brother, Dwight, whom was always called Bubba by his family. Robin loved going and visiting her children and grandchildren. She loved being at home with her dogs and cat. Robin also enjoyed doing crafts and flower arrangements. She would pass her crafts on to her family at times. Over the past several years Robin has had some health issues. She loved deeply and enjoyed talking about past memories. She often said she had been blessed with a great family. She enjoyed hearing about what was going on in the lives of her extended family. She would tell them how proud she was of them. She passed away at home in her sleep and she will be greatly missed!
Pallbearers will be Kirk Barnett, Chris Redick, Adam Nichols, Alex Perkins, Nick Terry and Derek Wilburn. Honorary pallbearers are nieces, nephews, cousins and brother in law. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
