Ronnie is survived by his wife, Anna Lawson; his daughters Crystal Wilson (Brandon) and Loretta Anderson (Donald); his sisters Patricia James and Linda Davis, his grandchildren Avery, Olivia, and Lawson Harris; Trinity Hutto and Brianna Beams.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Bernice Lawson and his brother Gene Lawson.
Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved all things trucking and could tell you how to get anywhere you needed to go, down to the mile marker, from his years of driving all over the country. He loved to sit and tell anyone who would listen, to the stories of his cross-country times and all the adventures he had. Ronnie loved most of all, being Pawpaw. His grandkids had him wrapped around their finger. He loved going to all the sports events, concerts, and pageants they had going on. He did his best to give them everything they ever wanted! His stories, his laugh, his see you next year on the last day of the year, him giving you a handmade pen and all his other quirky things he did will be missed. Most missed of all is the love he gave his family. It’s not a goodbye but a see you in heaven.
A memorial gathering for Ronnie will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Crestline Baptist Church, 13949 Hwy 69 S, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
