So sorry for your loss. I had just reconnected to her through fb a few years back. We went to church together many years ago in Mansfield. I always enjoyed when she and her family would come be in church with us. I was Trenna Jeffers back then. I will be praying for the family, i can understand from the spouses point, because I lost my husband, and from the Children's because I just recently lost my mom so my prayers are with ya'll. It’s seems so surreal that you are gone. The last week has been like a nightmare. I wish I could wake up from and discover it wasn’t real but, sadly it is. I will always cherish the memories we had growing up, the arguments, the “fighting over boys”, the arguing over who is going to wear what, “smoking grapevine”with Debbie Hensley Davis and the last few months of our daily conversations messaging each other and your excitement when you found out I was going to have my first grandchild. Our last convo at the hospital when you asked me to teach you how to play the piano & Belinda & I sang & pretended to play the accordion like Sis Bynog used to do in church 😳 we made you laugh & it was almost like old times but then you slipped away 😢😢 I know you are in a better place & have a new body with no pain or suffering and for that I am thankful. You fought a hard fight, but God decided he needed you more than us. There is a bond between sisters that can never be broken and even tho we all didn’t get to see each other like we liked we always loved each other and would always be there if one of us needed the other. I know you and Darla Gortney are having a great time together. You may be gone but you will forever be in my heart. I love you always to infinity & beyond!!

You were two years younger than me and we looked so much alike. I remember you always getting upset in school because the teachers always said “you are Juanita’s sister”. We fought, loved and laughed just like any sisters do but if anyone messed with us we stood shoulder to shoulder. I know if it had been in your power you would be at home playing with your grandchildren. Every time you were alert you told us you were coming home. I love you and will miss you always but will see you every time I look in the mirror. 

Rose was one of my sweet students.  I taught history.  She was quiet in class but always kind and smiling.  From the tribute  I can see she was loved by her grandchildren and family.  They will have some special memories.  My heartfelt sympathy for all.

My husband, David Straus, was one of Rose's classmates. They graduated from Stanley High School together in 1983. AND Rose and David shared a birth date. They were both born on September 28, 1965.

So sorry to hear the passing of Rose.  She was a sweet lady who loved her three grandchildren so much.  The last time I saw her she had her grandchildren in a wagon and was riding them around.  Rest In Peace until we meet again!  Our sincere condolences to Ken, Elizabeth and Jake and Jessie and especially her three precious grandchildren! There were six of us kids.  You were number three in the line and I came in fifth.  You were 4 years older than I so most of my memories are of  you "mothering" me.  I use to get so mad at you for this and often times this was the source of our sisterly fights.  As i grew older, I realized just how much that "mothering" had helped me.  I don't think I ever admitted this to you, but you taught me how to cook many things.  To this day, I do not make Mashed Potatoes without adding a small amount of mayonnaise just because you made it that way. I can't remember a time I ever asking you for a favor or for help with anything that you did not graciously do so.  You loved me and I loved you.  I will miss you dear sister and I can't wait to see again one day -Belinda   

I drove buses with her at Maxwell Elementary School and enjoyed seeing how she loved her students on her bus.  Maxwell had field day and one of her students didn’t have money to buy anything to drink or eat on field day and she gave the student money so they wouldn’t do without during the hot field day activities that day. Another time she paid for 3 students on her bus to go on a field trip so they weren’t left behind. She said my kids don’t do without if I can help it. She always loved on her kids and they loved her too. I love you Rose and I will miss you.  Love B#132

So sorry for the families loss.  I remember you being a little 7 year old sitting on the church pew with your mom and siblings while your dad preached.  Sunday dinners at our house all of you guys plus us 6 sisters and all our cousins.  Many happy times. 

I didn't know her personally and had just found out that she is a cousin on my father's side last summer.  I wish I would have met her, she seemed as sweet as her sisters and brother.  Pauline and her sisters did a good job at updating on facebook.  She is in heaven now with my hubby and not in any pain. Her illness and death hit me hard and I know in time I will be good. May God help her family get thru this hard time. Especially her grandchildren. Grandma I'm sure was special and she will always have a place in your heart forever.
