

R.P. "Buddy" Hall, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2012, at Northport Medical Center-DCH. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Cottondale Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albernice Price "A.P." Hall and Lela Mae Duren Hall; his wife of 34 years, Robbie Nell Turner Hall; and his son, Earl Franklin Faulkner Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lambert Hall; children, Sharon Hall of Powder Springs, Ga., Michael Hall (Vicky) of Northport, Ala., Teresa O'Rourke (Terry) of Tooele, Utah, Gary Faulkner (Sherrie) of Cottondale, Steven Faulkner (Gail) of Northport, and Scott Faulkner (Sherry) of Tuscaloosa; daughter-in-law Mechelle Faulkner; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Buddy is best remembered in the community as the owner of Buddy's Rib and Steak in Northport for over 30 years where he served great food and called you by name. After his retirement, he was an active member of the Cottondale Baptist Church Joy Ministry where he served the Lord by making daily phone calls to the sick and elderly, making hospital and nursing home visits, and any other work the Lord led his hands to do.
Pallbearers will be Harold Montgomery, Doug Dailey, Johnny Jones, Jimmie Montgomery, Larry Sexton, and Calvin Parker.
Honorary pallbearers are Joy Sunday School Class, employees of Buddy's Rib and Steak, Dr. Stephen Browne and staff, Hugh and Betty Abernathy, R.L. Broughton, and the PCU and ICU nurses and staff at Northport Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that donations be made to the Joy Ministry at Cottondale Baptist Church.
