Ruth Bishop, age 80, of Brookwood, died Aug. 3, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Little Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clayton Gibbs officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bishop, and her daughter, Barbara Bishop.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Lewis, Trish Trull, and Linda Porter; her son, David Bishop; her sisters, Eva Tate, Lee Sutherland, Betty Hale, and Helen Ferguson; her brothers, John Hurd, Dean Hurd, Bernard Hurd, Earl Hale, Paul Hale, and Allen Hale; and her grandchildren, Phillip Sanford, Matthew Lewis, Aaron Bishop, Hannah Trull, Vivi Trull, Michael Poole, and Tessa Trull.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Lewis, Phillip Trull, Keith Porter, Phillip Sanford, Matthew Lewis, and Aaron Bishop.
