COTTONDALE – Sarah Estelle Hubbard, age 100, died January 12, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Gary Ward and Ryan Karr officiating. Burial will follow in Duncanville Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hubbard; son, Jimmy Hubbard and granddaughter, Jamie Hubbard.Survivors include her daughter, Denise Oats (Larry); sister-in-law, Sue Hubbard; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.Sarah was the oldest member of Duncanville United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered for her fried apples pies on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Oneal Crowell, Charles Bardon, Ralph Speagle, Billy Ford, Jimbo Hubbard and Jeff Farmer.Honorary pallbearers are Ron Martin, Mark Cook, members of Duncanville United Methodist Church and Hagler community.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duncanville United Methodist Church and Hospice of West Alabama.
