Anna Seleter Stallings Cooper was born April 27, 1940, to the late Charles and Anna Cole Stallings. A Baptist by faith, she was a member of Circlewood Baptist Church. A caregiver by nature, she became a Nurse and was able to work in the medical field, which she loved, for a number of years. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing her own plants and beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed crafting, working on numerous projects, such as ceramics and cross stitch. She was an avid fan on Alabama Football. Though she had many hobbies and things she enjoyed, her most endeared passion was her family. A devoted mother and sister, she loved her family immensely and always cherished family gatherings and opportunities for them to get together. Her grandchildren were her passion and she wore her title of “GrandMa” as a badge of honor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Maxine Armstrong and Sandra Brown.
She is survived by daughter: Kim Townsend and sons: Gary Cooper and Mike Cooper all of Cottondale; her sister Jean Stallings of Tuscaloosa; brother Edward Stallings (Debbie Ellenson Barnes) of Birmingham; grandchildren: Sara Townsend, Anna Townsend both of Tuscaloosa, and Cory Cooper of Northport; and one great grandson: Chas Duncan of Northport; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Gary Cooper, Michael Cooper, Kenneth Duncan, Rob Cooper, Jon Stallings, and Mark Brown.
