Shirley Faye Moody

NORTHPORT – Shirley Faye Moody, age 81, passed away March 13, 2021. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her infant son, William Darren Moody; and parents, Olene and Sam Junkins.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Moody; daughter, Serena Hubbard (Tim); sons, Derek Moody (Lisa) and Derrell Moody (Belinda); brother, Freddy Junkins (Sue); grandchildren, Jonathan Hubbard (Meagan), Timothy Hubbard, Clint Moody (Christy), Tyler Moody (Amie), Megan Hambrick (Matt), Brock Moody, Ashton Moody, Sutton Davis (Walker), and Seth Aiken; and eight great-grandchildren.

Shirley Moody was born Sept 17, 1939 in Gordo Alabama. She was a graduate of Aliceville High School. She was a loving dedicated wife to her husband, Charles Moody, for 61 years. They enjoyed traveling and visited many countries all over the world. They also enjoyed square and round dancing at various clubs in the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham circuit. She also enjoyed spending time camping and fishing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was involved in many of their extracurricular activities. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jonathan Hubbard, Timothy Hubbard, Clint Moody, Tyler Moody, Brock Moody, and Seth Aiken.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's Hospital Birmingham.
