Shirley Lynn Poe

Graveside Services will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at Big Hurricane Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookwood, AL. with Don White officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations a Dignity Memorial Provider directing.

She is preceded in death by her father Clifton Sims, Mother, Katharine Sims, sister, Sharon Lee, brothers, Timmy Sims and Kenny Sims, husband, Terry Poe and nephew, Cameron Sims.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristy Sims, sons, Jamie Sims (Ashley) and Joey Poe (Mary), sister, Shelia Hammett, and grandchildren, Jackson Poe, Abbigayle Poe, Logan Poe, Cameron Poe, Katie Sims and Keri Sims.

Known as the long time friendly face of the Winn-Dixie Deli, Shirley seemed to know nearly everyone in Tuscaloosa. A warm-hearted woman, she was a member of Fresh Anointing Church of Brookwood. She was accompanied by her precious pup, Maggie.

Pallbearers will be Joey Poe, Bobbie Barnes, Lonnie Petry, David Hammett, Joseph Lee and Lance Apprriioll.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jackson Poe and Jamie Sims.
