Sidney Calvin Guy

THOMASTON, Ala. | Sidney Calvin Guy, of Thomaston, Ala., age 60, died April 7, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Hurley D. Guy and Mary Dorothy Guy.

He is survived by his wife, Terrica Merritt Guy; son, Jamie Guy (Brandy) of Gallion, Ala.; step children, Brooke Reeves, Seth Davis of Gallion, Ala., and Jeremy Coats (Shanna)of Demopolis; step grandchild, Logan Coates of Demopolis; brothers, Melton Guy (Sue) of Goldsboro, NC, and Kenny Guy (Colleen) of Hartford, Ala.; sister, Faye Land (John) of Callahan, Fla.; mother-in-law, Ann Merritt Armstrong of Northport, Ala.; and brothers-in-law, Ricky Merritt (Myra) of Greensboro, and Terry Merritt of Tuscaloosa.

He was born December 16, 1954, in Auburndale, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Rod Laduron; Jamie Mitchell; Kelly Etheridge; Lowe McDaniel; Chris Vergeson; Danny Vergeson; Michael Guy; Scotty Brannon and Robert Land
