Terry Lawrence Callahan, age 56, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died February 21, 2017. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider. Visitation will be today, February 28, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at a later date.He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewerline Callahan; father, James Callahan; grandparents, Hugh and Tish Callahan; brother-in-law, Gary Quarles; and grandchildren, Landon and Logan Callahan.Survivors include his son, Hugh Callahan (Tisha); daughter, Tiffany Callahan; grandchildren, Destiny, Tyler, Jade, Damien, Kali, Zayden and Miya; sisters, Janice Quarles Redding, Linda Parker and Jerri Lynne Callahan; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special riding buddy, Kasey Tubbs.Terry was the life of the room. You never went around him and not laughed. His stories would make you laugh and his singing hurt your ears. He loved to laugh. Terry also loved to fish and the outdoors. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School Class of 1978. He joined the National Guard. He later became a painter for the rest of his life. Terry loved his family and his Mama. Now the two are together again. He will be greatly missed and was very loved.
