Thomas Ballard

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; James Floyd Ballard and Ina Ballard Lunceford. His brothers; James Ballard, and George Ballard. Sister Dorothy Ann Poole, and his brothers-in-law; Gene Poole, Terry Walby and James Snipes.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne Henry Ballard of Northport and his sons Richard Thomas Ballard (Laura) of Tuscaloosa, Rodney V. Ballard (Vera) of Tuscaloosa. Sister Polly Ballard Snipes of Fosters. His sister-in-law; Margaret Baswell Ballard Dorsey of Fosters, Cathrine Ballard of Oceanside California and Ginger Walby of Northport. Grandchildren; Brandon Ballard (Mary Elizabeth), Jessica “Blue” Ballard, Kaleb Thomas Ballard (Jessica Smith), Casen Ballard (Maddie Appling) and Emilee Ballard. Great-grandchildren; Thomas Claylon Ballard and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be; Kaleb Ballard, Casen Ballard, Brandon Ballard, Blue Ballard, Bill Poole, Gary Poole, Wes Walby and Dodie Morris.

RT was retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation and also retired from the Army National Guard, and was a member at Robertson’s Chapel Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and Family.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
