Vivian Pauline Styers

DANVILLE, KY. – Vivian Pauline Largin Styers, age 86, in Danville, Ky., died May 2, 2017. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudia and Grady Largin; brother, James Largin; and daughter, Sharon Styers Cadwell.Survivors include her husband of 71 years, John M. Styers of Danville, Ky.; daughter, Sandra Styers Summers of Danville, Ky.; sons, Douglas Styers of Fla., Danny Styers of Ind. and Donald Styers of Fla.; and grandchildren, Ashley Gladden, Michael Cadwell, Lisa Cadwell, Mark Cadwell, Mistyna Patterson, Daniel Summers, Bill Summers, Jr., Sarah Summers, Jonathan Styers and Jeffery Styers. Vivian attended Holt High School before marring and relocating to Gary, Indiana where she lived and raised a family of five children. She was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church. After retirement, she and her husband, John, moved back to the south to Danville, Ky. to be near family.Pallbearers will be Douglas Styers, Danny Styers, Donald Styers, Jonathan Styers, Jeff Styers, Bill Summers, Jr. and Daniel Summers.
