Mena, age 82, passed away peacefully at Moundville Health and Rehab. She was born in Cullman, Alabama and graduated from Sacred Heart. She met her husband, Jimmy, who she was married to for 63 years. His job took them to Indiana and Mississippi before settling in Tuscaloosa in 1976. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mena was a bookkeeper, by trade, and worked for Frank Bell Construction for many years before retiring and working for H&R Block and UA Event Staff.
Mena enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, going to casinos, the beach and anytime spent with her husband, children, grands, great grands and other family and friends. She was an avid Alabama sports fan. She enjoyed the many years of visiting and being involved with her neighbors in Hillcrest Gardens.
The family is very thankful to the staff at Moundville Health and Rehab for the care they provided the past two and half years. We would also like to thank the staff at Southern Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Moundville Health and Rehab Activity Dept.
